Insights into Bachelor Thesis Writing for English Undergraduates: A Case Study from a Private University

Writing a bachelor thesis in English the senior year has long been fixed requirement for undergraduates private colleges and universities China. This study is aimed to find out major barriers that seniors have confronted with their bachelor’s theses how they evaluate academic task completed. Data were collected through questionnaires as well aid of Department College Science Technology China Three Gorges University by probing into after-writing feedbacks from writing process 118 2021. The shows over 85% candidates found no easy job. Meanwhile, various difficulties throughout reported ranging high standards set on thesis, absence systematic training offered college busy schedule, poor self-discipline lack supervision, low motives writing, among others. results this imply it might not be rational take one-size-fits-all approach hence suggested higher institutions should optional rather than mandatory taking consideration real conditions both students university.
